Cosmetic Dentistry in Essex

As you go through life, your smile can become worn. Your teeth pick up stains, lose their bright white shine, and the once-solid natural tooth enamel develops chips and cracks. The result—a smile you’ve fallen out of love with.

Social media, TV, magazines, and movies are packed with perfectly-proportioned, dazzling white smiles. But beautiful and radiant smiles aren’t reserved for the rich and famous. Dental veneers are an elegant and accessible way to get an improved smile you’ll love.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

A dental veneer is a thin porcelain coating applied to the front and sides of your natural teeth. Custom-made veneers give your smile a brighter, healthier, more uniform appearance.

The beauty of veneers is their natural appearance. You probably see people with veneers every day, but the life-like porcelain blends seamlessly into their smiles.

Dental veneers can:

  • Repair cracked and chipped teeth
  • Cover stains and discolouration
  • Improve minor alignment issues
  • Bring smaller, worn teeth into proportion
  • Close small gaps in your smile

The Benefits of Dental Veneers

Instant Confidence

The change is instantly noticeable when we place your custom porcelain veneers. You won’t need to wait to see the difference in your smile—it’ll be there the first time you look in the mirror. The results can boost your confidence, helping you feel good about smiling.

Versatile Natural Appearance

We can use veneers to fix many different problems. Whether your teeth are broken or you dislike their colour, shape, or texture, veneers can give your smile a makeover.

Quick and Simple

Once our expert team has created your bespoke veneers, you won’t need to wait long to see how they look. We can usually place veneers quickly, so you can enjoy your new smile sooner.

A Brighter Dental Future

Veneers have amazing cosmetic benefits for damaged or compromised teeth, but the porcelain also creates a strong barrier that helps protect your smile from decay, infection, and further damage.

Placing Your Veneers

We’ll need to assess your smile before we can place your veneers. During your initial visit, we’ll examine your teeth, take scans, and discuss the smile you’d like to see. This is to check that veneers are right for you and help our technicians create beautiful, custom veneers that perfectly match your teeth.

Then, we’ll need to prepare your teeth to make space for your veneers. Removing a small amount of enamel helps ensure your veneers don’t make your teeth appear out of proportion. We’ll give you an anaesthetic while we do this.

Once our experienced team has made your veneers, we can place them on your teeth. We’ll ensure they’re positioned perfectly before finally bonding them into position.

This is a wonderful practice. I was seen at short notice because I was in pain and could not get an appointment with my regular dentist and it was well worth the one hour journey to get there. Dr Sasha, Nurse Stephie and Holly and Claire on reception could not have been more welcoming and kind. I had x Ray and antibiotics and everything was unhurried and explained in detail. Thank you all so much.

Absolutely fantastic treatment from start to finish. My daughter was extremely anxious about having root canal treatment, but says she could barely feel anything. Rose (Endodontist) has a very professional and calming manner. The whole experience was the best experience my daughter has had at a dental practice. Belle (Nurse) was also so kind and caring, helping to completely put my daughter at ease. I can’t recommend Smile HQ and its staff enough. Also ladies on reception go above and beyond to Welcome you and put you at ease. Special mention to Hannah, for helping us get the quickest correct type of appointment, thoroughly answering all our questions. Seamless experience 😊

What an amazing experience I had from start to finish. The facilities were first of all immaculate and the staff were so professional and friendly. I am over the moon with my final result (8 composite veneers) and I couldn’t be happier with the work completed by Dr Pola Reza. A big thank you to the dental assistant Claire, and the Front of House staff Hannah & Holly for making my experience so amazing. Couldn’t recommend them more!

Frequently Asked Questions

How many veneers will I need?

This depends on your smile goals. Some patients choose a single veneer to cover one damaged tooth, while others opt for several to create a complete smile makeover. At your consultation, we’ll discuss what works best for your needs and design a bespoke treatment plan.

How long do porcelain veneers typically last?

Porcelain veneers can last 15–20 years or even longer with proper care. While they’re stain-resistant and durable, maintaining good oral hygiene, attending regular check-ups, and avoiding habits like biting your nails will help protect them.

What’s the difference between veneers and composite bonding?

Composite bonding involves sculpting a tooth-coloured resin directly onto your teeth in one session, making it ideal for quick, small repairs. Veneers, by contrast, are thin porcelain shells that are custom-crafted in a lab and bonded to your teeth for a highly durable, long-lasting, and natural-looking finish—perfect for more extensive cosmetic transformations.

How much do dental veneers cost?

The total cost of undergoing dental veneers depends on how many teeth you’re looking to cover and if you require any preparatory dental work before the procedure. You will receive a personalised quote during your consultation, but if you’d like more information before you get in touch, check out our fees and finances page.
